It’s always a joy when a client rehires you to capture another special moment in their family history. This time, the Deckers invited me to photograph the wedding rehearsal for Daniel and Mallory, which took place on Valentine’s Day in the picturesque city of Annapolis, Maryland. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and love, making the job an absolute delight. Surrounded by smiles, hugs, and laughter, I felt like a boy catching fireflies as I captured these beautiful moments. It was an honor to be part of this special day. Congratulations to Daniel and Mallory!
Gear Used to Capture the Moments
To document this memorable event, I used a combination of reliable and versatile camera gear. The Canon EOS 7D and Canon EOS 5D Mark III were my go-to cameras for the day, ensuring high-quality images in every shot.
- Canon EOS 7D: Perfect for capturing fast-moving moments with its quick frame rate.
- Canon EOS 5D Mark III: Delivered stunning image quality, ideal for both wide shots and close-ups.
I also utilized a variety of lenses to capture different perspectives and details:
- EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM: Added a creative, wide-angle perspective to group shots and venue captures.
- EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM: Ideal for wide-angle shots that showcased the entire setting and atmosphere.
- EF 35mm f/1.4L USM: Perfect for intimate portraits, capturing the emotions and expressions up close.
- EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM: Provided versatility for capturing candid moments from a distance without intruding on the scene.
These tools allowed me to capture the essence of Daniel and Mallory’s wedding rehearsal with the attention and care it deserved.
