The O’Briens are the definition of fun and warmth. At first glance, they might seem like your typical well-mannered family—proper, sweet, and polite. However, once they let their guard down, they transform into the most delightful bunch of goofballs, like a flying fire turtle herding cats in the air! Whatever they’re feeding their kids, I want some of it because their energy is off the charts!
Photographing the O’Briens is always an absolute joy. The kids are so full of life, bouncing around like playful puppies. When you add Brendan, the dad, to the mix, it’s like shaking up a bottle of pure joy—an explosion of fun is guaranteed! Judy, the mom, is the calm anchor in all the excitement, guiding the playful chaos with a warm smile and just the right amount of ‘Mom authority.’
The Value of Family Photos
Family photos do more than capture images; they preserve cherished memories that showcase the unique dynamics and personality of a family. They freeze every laugh, every silly face, and every tender moment in time. This preservation allows families to cherish these memories for years to come. Photos like these tell stories that words often can’t express, showcasing the warmth, love, and joy that families like the O’Briens share. Whether you use them for a holiday card or a family album, these moments highlight the beauty and joy found in everyday life.
What This Experience Meant to Me
Spending time with the O’Brien family and capturing their vibrant energy inspired me deeply. I was fortunate to stay with them a while back, and their infectious energy made me rethink my bachelor lifestyle. Who wouldn’t want a family like this? The family photos I took in December 2012, just before baby Camden—affectionately known as ‘CamCam’—was born, hold a special place in my heart. Now, with three little ones in the house, I can only imagine the fun and laughter that fills their home. Documenting their journey through family photos is something I’ll always treasure.
Gear Used to Capture These Family Photos
To capture the lively spirit of the O’Brien family, I used the following gear:
- Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark III
- Lens: EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III offered the perfect balance of versatility and detail. It allowed me to capture both wide family shots and close-up moments. The EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens was ideal for dynamic scenes of the kids playing and the family interacting. This combination helped me freeze the joy, energy, and warmth of the O’Brien family in each frame. These family photos will last a lifetime.
