My last trip to Page, Arizona was right before the pandemic hit in full force, and I had the chance to spend the holidays with an amazing group of friends. We were busy working on building out Lake Powell Adventure Company, and spending the winter in this part of the Southwest felt so different from my usual visits.
Winter in Page, Arizona
Page, Arizona, during winter, offers a quieter, more peaceful experience. Unlike the busy summer months filled with tourists, winter here feels calm. The colder weather changes the landscape, making textures stand out in ways I’d never noticed before. The desert, normally warm and bustling with life, feels crisp and serene. It’s a side of Page that many don’t get to see, but it’s one of the reasons I’ve grown to love it even more.
With fewer visitors, the streets were quieter, making it easier to connect with the local community and my friends. The beauty of the surrounding red rock formations, lightly dusted with snow, created an incredible contrast that made every photo opportunity special.
Reflecting on Friendship
My time in Page wasn’t just about the landscape; it was about the people. The friendships I built during that winter were deep and genuine. Spending time together, whether we were working or exploring the area, was a bonding experience I won’t forget. The crew I spent that time with made the cold winter feel warm.
I miss those friends and hope to return to Page, Arizona, soon. Until then, the memories of those winter days keep me connected to them.
