Majer Metal Works recently finished a great project for Herbafi Dispensary.
They created custom retail displays that enhance both the store’s appearance and functionality. These displays, featuring cabinets and glass cases with locking sliding shelves and sliding door cases, seamlessly blend style with practicality. Each piece reflects the high standards and craftsmanship that define Majer Metal Works. We ensure that the displays not only function efficiently but also elevate the overall shopping experience.

Elegant and Functional Design

Walnut-covered surfaces inside each display add warmth and class to the dispensary’s store. Two accent shelves define the points of sale, guiding customers to key areas of interest. On the outside, natural hot-rolled steel sheets, cut with precision, create clean, sharp lines that make the displays look modern. The assembly is perfect, with no visible fasteners. This shows how careful the maker was during the making process.

The tops of the displays alternate between tempered glass and white acrylic panels. This combination makes the room look interesting while making it durable and easy to take care of. These displays look stylish and modern and match the overall design of Herbafi Dispensary. This makes the store look cohesive and inviting.

Photography Gear: Capturing the Craftsmanship

Documenting the custom retail displays at Herbafi Dispensary required the use of high-quality photography equipment. I chose the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for its exceptional image quality and versatility. This camera is ideal for capturing both wide shots and close-up details.

For wide-angle shots that showcase the entire retail space, I relied on the EF 11–24mm f/4L USM lens. This lens provided the broad perspective needed to highlight the scale and layout of the displays. To capture the detailed craftsmanship of the walnut interiors and steel exteriors, I used the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. Its ability to zoom in and out let me take both medium-range and close-up shots that were clear.

Finally, I used the EF 35mm f/1.4L USM lens for finer details and a shallow depth of field. This lens excels at creating sharp focus on specific elements, making the craftsmanship of the displays stand out against the background.

“His kind directness makes working with him so easy.”

Working with Jiho is an unique experience. He is an extremely engaged photographer, and he works very hard to capture the most compelling images that a particular subject might provide. He doesn’t hold back, but he is also very particular, resulting in images with both quality and dynamism. His work ethic is impressive, and his care in treating people never falters. In addition to shooting images of work in our studio, he has taken images of completed work both after and during installation. In all circumstances, he has successfully engaged the people in the environment, making the process of shooting a difficult object in a busy place a special event rather than an imposition, and the results are visible in the quality of his work.

I would recommend Jiho for any project—his attention to the subject is just as careful when shooting a person, an inanimate object, or even a pile of tools in a messy studio. His kind directness makes working with him so easy.
