This Christmas, we embarked on a road trip to soak in the charm of South Florida. While Key West was our final destination, we paused in Florida City to stay at the inviting Hoosville Hostel. What we thought would be a simple stopover quickly became a integral part of our journey. The warm hospitality of the owner, Michael Hoo, and the chance to document their family’s heartfelt holiday gathering turned our stay into an unforgettable experience.
Hoo Family and their Holiday Spirit
One of the most memorable moments of our stay at Hoosville Hostel was photographing Michael’s family Christmas gathering. The event radiated a welcoming, close-knit vibe, complete with delicious food, lively music, and the unmistakable charm of South Florida.
The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed, and everyone was genuinely open and friendly, making the photography experience both enjoyable and seamless. I moved through the celebration, capturing a mix of candid laughter, heartfelt group shots, and intimate moments that embodied the holiday spirit.
The hostel’s tropical garden, adorned with vibrant LED lights, added a magical touch to the photos. The glowing lights created a warm, festive backdrop, while the lush greenery brought a natural charm that made every shot feel alive with the unique energy of the season.
