Jim and Emilia’s love story started with Jim and I becoming friends on our first day at RISD, even though we couldn’t stand each other during the first semester. Instead of letting our differences push us apart, we let our commonalities pull us together. We faced many challenges in college, but we always laughed through them. That was 17 years ago. Now, Jim has met the lady of his dreams, Emilia. As cliché as it sounds, she truly completes him. It’s refreshing to see my best friend smile and be purely happy. Congratulations to them both!
To capture this special moment in Jim and Emilia’s lives, I took a series of photographs using a basic point-and-shoot Sony CyberShot DSC-TX9. I adjusted the flash settings and simply had fun with it. All the photos were taken once, using light from outside and flash. The results show the real happiness and love from the couple.
