Majer Metal Works recently partnered with the owners of a historic “horse bar” outside Baltimore to create 10 custom bronze stools. These stools, designed for durability in an outdoor setting, showcase the company’s commitment to craftsmanship. The process involved hand-forming sheet metal on an English wheel, rolling and milling bronze seat edges, and fully welding every seam. The result is a set of stools that are both sturdy and stylish, blending seamlessly with the outdoor bar area.

In this project, Majer Metal Works designed the stools to be securely locked into the ground while remaining easy to remove after years of outdoor exposure. They achieved this with a specially designed wedge-key system, which offers both stability and flexibility. The patina on the stools, initially accelerated, has been left to age naturally, adding rich, evolving tones over time.
