About Papermoon Diner

Papermoon Diner, located in the heart of Baltimore, offers more than just a meal—it provides an eclectic experience. Since opening in 1994, the diner has become famous for its quirky decor, filled with colorful art and vintage toys. The outdoor garden, especially in spring, bursts with color and creativity, making it a favorite spot for both locals and tourists.

The diner’s menu matches its vibrant atmosphere, offering a variety of dishes, from comfort food to vegetarian options. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal, Papermoon Diner’s unique blend of art, food, and community makes it a must-visit destination.

Capturing Papermoon: The Gear Behind the Photos

To capture Papermoon Diner’s vibrant springtime charm, I used the Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the Fuji FinePix IS-1. The Canon, known for its excellent image quality, allowed me to capture the rich colors and details of the garden. Meanwhile, the Fuji FinePix IS-1, designed for infrared (IR) photography, provided a surreal, dreamlike perspective of the diner’s outdoor space. The infrared shots highlighted textures and contrasts, offering a fresh and magical view of this Baltimore gem.

These cameras enabled me to showcase Papermoon Diner’s unique beauty, combining vibrant color photography with ethereal infrared images to create a captivating visual story.

“The project was slightly behind schedule, but it was definitely well worth the wait.”

We love the website Jihonation created for us. Immediately it popped, noticed right away, clean and simplistic. Easy to navigate, quick to the point and exactly what we need. The project was slightly behind schedule, but it was definitely well worth the wait. With a single site that can be accessed on a desktop and iphone, how clever. Thank you very much. Not to mention we love the photographies! We look forward to working with JihoNation on future projects.
