Photographing Brittanee and Levi’s wedding in Shasta, California, was an absolute honor. I first met this wonderful couple back in Baltimore, where Levi worked at Major Metal Works. From the moment I arrived, Brittanee’s family made me feel like one of their own, greeting me with open arms. Their warm welcome set the tone for the day and made me eager to capture the authentic, intimate moments leading up to the ceremony.

As I mingled with the family, I began photographing the preparations. The excitement in the air was contagious, and I wanted my images to reflect the heartfelt connection between Brittanee, Levi, and their loved ones. The candid shots during these early moments laid the foundation for a beautiful wedding story.

Photoshoot at Wagon Creek Bridge

Before the ceremony, we headed to Wagon Creek Bridge for a pre-wedding photoshoot. This stunning location in Shasta County, California, was the perfect backdrop. The bridge, which spans the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and water. Its steel frame architecture contrasts beautifully with the natural environment, creating unique opportunities for captivating wedding portraits.

I utilized my wide-angle lens to capture the entire scene, ensuring that the lake and mountains framed Brittanee and Levi perfectly. The joy and love they shared were evident in every shot, making it easy to photograph them in such a picturesque spot.

Enchanting Forest Ceremony

After the photo session, we moved to the ceremony site, where Levi’s family had transformed a secluded forest area into a serene altar. Using natural elements from the environment, they crafted a space filled with intention, positivity, and love. It was here that family and friends gathered to witness Brittanee and Levi’s union.

The forest, with its towering trees and peaceful atmosphere, added a magical quality to the ceremony. I was able to capture moments of pure joy and emotion as the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest loved ones. The intimacy of the setting, combined with the love shared by everyone present, made for an unforgettable day.

Gear Used

For this wedding, I relied on some of my favorite gear to ensure I captured every moment in stunning detail. I used the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, paired with two lenses: the EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM for wide-angle shots like those at Wagon Creek Bridge, and the EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM for capturing close-up moments during the ceremony. These tools allowed me to document every emotion, from the small details to the grand scenic views, with clarity and precision.

Conclusion

Photographing Brittanee and Levi’s wedding was a truly special experience. From the warmth of Brittanee’s family to the stunning photoshoot at Wagon Creek Bridge and the magical forest ceremony, every moment felt filled with love, joy, and harmony. I am so grateful to have been part of their beautiful day, and I hope the images will help them cherish these memories for years to come.
