March brought perfect weather and even better company to our latest tech event, held at the rooftop pool of the Aloft Hotel in Delray Beach. Set against the backdrop of a cool South Florida evening, we couldn’t have asked for a better space to bring people together.

From lighting to layout, everything worked to foster connection and creativity. The rooftop view, clean lines, and breezy atmosphere made the night feel both professional and relaxed—just how we like it.

The Atmosphere

There’s something about a rooftop pool in South Florida—especially under clear skies—that just sets the tone. The night was crisp, the vibe was cool, and conversations flowed effortlessly. It was the kind of evening where introductions turned into collaborations, and casual chats sparked real ideas. We had a solid turnout and were truly grateful for everyone who showed up to support the growing community.

Gear and Capture

For this event, I used the Canon EOS R8 with the Canon RF 24mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM lens. That wide-angle prime was perfect for capturing the full rooftop scene—ambient lighting, crowd interaction, and all the little moments that give events like this personality.

The lens delivered sharp detail with low-light flexibility, allowing me to shoot without disrupting the flow. I focused on candids, motion, and the in-between moments that tell the real story of a night like this.
